The Marshalltown Zombie Walk was featured in a few publications! Twice in the local paper (The Times Republican) and in the
National Jaycee's Mag! Below is the article from the Jaycee's Mag!
Zombies Walk for Charity in Marshalltown, IA

14thZombies rose up in Marshalltown and walked for charity. Steven Adelmund, Marshalltown Jaycees newest member, decided
that he wanted to help raise some money for the local Domestic Violence Alternatives (DVA) agency and what better way to do
that then dress up like a Zombie. This first time event was right in line with the Marshalltown Jaycees activities so we
joined on as a sponsor. Over 80 Zombies joined the short walk from one park to another in Marshalltown and ended with BBQ
and three local bands, Goodbye Kai, Thru It All and Shrapnel. All together $1,271 was raised for DVA. Jennifer Gracey (Clive
Jaycees), Andrew Niemann (Cedar Rapids Jaycees) and Mark "Goob" Lowry (Marshalltown Jaycees) featured in the photo.

Facebook and local media helped publicize the event. The Jaycees provided $1 off admission to the 2009 Jaycees Haunted Forest
for all registered participants. Plans are already underway for the 2010 Zombie Walk!
